June 23, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Emerson (St. Louis, MO) announced that it has been awarded a $1.5 million contract to provide cooling protection for data center operations in the new Tokyo headquarters of global investment banking firm Goldman Sachs. Emerson Network Power will provide precision cooling systems from its Liebert division to help Goldman Sachs' data center deliver state-of-the-art performance reliability.

Emerson will protect heat-sensitive network equipment in Goldman Sachs' new data center by installing 74 precision air conditioning units designed to provide the ideal environment to maximize performance and prevent shutdowns due to overheating. Construction is nearing completion and Goldman Sachs is expected to take occupancy later this year.
