June 21, 2010 by Jeff Shepard

Emerson Network Power announced that it is partnering with Panduit to meet the rising demand for effective enterprise system integration and risk management in the data center.

Panduit and Emerson Network Power are working together on a global level to incorporate Liebert precision cooling, smart uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions and other monitoring and management technologies from Emerson Network Power into Panduit’s Unified Physical Infrastructure (UPI) based solutions. The Panduit UPI approach enables greater integration of the data center and connected building physical infrastructure to help organizations achieve greater efficiency, availability and security of critical business systems. Leveraging Liebert intelligent controls in the power and cooling systems, with Panduit’s integrated, end-to-end physical infrastructure solutions allows data center energy efficiency to be optimized without compromising availability.

"Emerson Network Power is excited about this opportunity to collaborate with Panduit to help customers improve enterprise effectiveness," said Jeff Sturgeon, Vice President, Marketing and Solutions, for the Liebert products business of Emerson Network Power in North America. "Liebert power and cooling technologies with intelligent controls will enable Panduit’s UPI based solutions to provide the highest energy efficiency currently available, support IT growth trends, and enhance availability."

"Our collaboration with Emerson Network Power enables Panduit to realize the UPI-based principles of physical to logical systems integration in the data center environment. Together, we are able to provide superior capabilities to connect, manage and automate the systems infrastructure and enable a smarter, unified business foundation for our customers," said Vineeth Ram, Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing, Panduit. "Reference architectures and reference designs for the data center from Panduit and Emerson will help to optimize the data center infrastructure for power, cooling, speed, space and performance."
