Emco Electronics Presents EE-302 Power Relay

August 27, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Emco Electronics (India) announced its new EE-302 power relay, which can be used for regulating the secondary voltage of power transformers with a motor drive on the load tap charger, and that comes with LED indicators that show pre-signal conditions and relay operations.

The microcontroller-based device is programmable through a membrane keyboard, with the commands stored in non-volatile memory. The time-delay setting can be set in linear or integral mode. Relays with potential free contacts are provided for signaling under-voltage, over-voltage and control-fail conditions. A single control pulse to the motor causes a change in voltage by one step when the step-by-step function is inactive. A "raise" or "lower" control signal is then generated by the relay when the measured voltage deviates from preset conditions.
