Elgar's Sorensen Division Debuts DLM 3kW and 4kW DC Power Supplies

April 04, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

The Sorensen (San Diego, CA) division of Elgar announced the introduction of their new DLM 3kW and 4kW programmable dc power supplies to complement their DCS Series. Designed to provide continuously variable output voltage and current for a broad range of applications, the DLM 3kW and 4kW models have output voltages from 0-5Vdc to 0-600Vdc and a current range from 0-5A to 0-450A. These supplies can be stacked on top of each other without requiring cooling air space between them.

The DLM 3kW and 4kW supplies feature a 2U-high chassis. They typically have a 0.95 input power factor with three-phase input, and a 0.95 input power factor for single-phase. The supplies feature RMS noise levels as low as 10mV, and they can be operated in parallel or series mode.

“The cost-effective DLM 3kW and 4kW models enhance Sorensen's already wide variety of offerings," said Don Novotny, Sorensen's corporate marketing manager. “Our customers prefer low-noise, low-profile designs without sacrificing power. Our new DLM Series now provides the highest power density available in a 2U chassis and is backed by a company with experience in every aspect of high-power power supply design and fabrication."

Prices start at $2,650 each for the DLM 3kW and 4kW programmable dc power supplies. All models are available now and are UL, c-UL listed and CE-marked.
