Electrosource Introduces New Horizon e-Power Battery

Electrosource Inc. (San Marcos, TX) has introduced their newest member of the Horizon family, a new e-power battery that incorporates a microchip to continuously monitor the battery and alert the user to the battery condition.
The Horizon C2M technology is based on a process for extruding high-purity lead over glass-fiber filaments. The glass fiber in this co-extruded composite material (C2M) provides high-tensile strength, eliminating the need for lead additives. The resulting fine-lead grain structure is also highly resistant to corrosion, thereby increasing battery-cycle life.
