EADmotors Debuts DuraPlus Brushless DC Motor

November 13, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

EADmotors (Dover, NH) introduced its new DuraPlus brushless dc, servo-motor-based actuator that utilizes a precision screw and low-profile encoder to achieve a high linear speed and closed-loop control. Compatible with all three-phase, brushless dc motor amplifiers, the NEMA size 23 motor features permanently lubricated ball bearings and a dynamically balanced rotor to reduce audible noise and vibration, and extend motor life.

The motor has a 50.8mm motor length that provides a peak torque of 0.076kg-m for fast acceleration and speed up to 5,000rpm at a rated torque of 0.017kg-m. Applications include medical equipment, semiconductors, robotics and syringe pumps.
