Delta India Launches First Green Factory In Rudrapur, Uttarakhand

Delta Electronics announced the official launch of its first green factory at Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. As part of Delta’s expansion plans in India, the company states that the new eco-friendly factory reinforces its mission "to provide innovative, clean and efficient energy solutions for a better tomorrow.&quot

We are committed to providing energy efficient solutions as well as being environmentally conscious by reducing wastes and carbon emissions across the world."

Delta’s Rudrapur factory spans 16657.48 square meters of manufacturing space and will manufacture products for power management, display solutions, components, industrial automation, automotive electronics and networking solutions. The factory has been designed and built using environmental conservation measures.

Dalip Sharma, Managing Director, Delta Electronics (India), said, "Energy efficiency and environmental preservation have long been an important part of Delta’s mission. The green factory at Rudrapur is an initiative towards the same." He added, "As a result of this operation, we also anticipate substantial job growth in manufacturing, facility maintenance, delivery and administration."

The state-of-the-art Rudrapur green factory is Delta’s first green factory in India that incorporates eco-friendly energy saving practices and waste management system. It is registered with the Indian Green Building Council and is aiming for the highest green building accreditation. Delta India has made use of various energy efficient technologies. Natural light harvesting saves electricity and reduces carbon emission by 36800 Lb every year. Turbo Ventilation saves electricity and saves 55200 Lb carbon emissions every year. The solar panels installed in the plant would reduce Green House Gas emission by 5mn Lb. The power factor controller saves 12-15% electric energy by maintaining the power factor at 0.99 instead of 0.85. The linear panel polynum insulation saves electric energy due to minimum requirement of forced cooling. The 37016.6-square-meter factory will provide an ecologically sensitive, energy-saving, waste reducing and a healthy environment for Delta employees.
