DCH Technology to Intro New Hydrogen Fuel Cell

February 20, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

DCH Technology Inc. (Valencia, CA) will be introducing a new fuel cell at the 12th Annual National Hydrogen Association in Washington DC on March 6, 2001. Attendees will preview the first public demonstration of DCH's new hydrogen fuel cell, which is form/fit compatible with a 6V battery. DCH reports that the fuel cell, which was developed by their wholly-owned subsidiary, Enable Fuel Cell Corp., includes an integrated rechargeable fuel supply of metal hydride.

“This fuel cell will bring reliable life-cycle power to a broad cross-section of consumer applications," said DCH Chairman David Haberman. “Unlike batteries, there is no concern with shelf life. Your flashlight works, for example, when you really need it -- during an emergency or years after you throw it in the back of your car."
