Danfoss Drives Introduces New VLT 5000 Series Synchronizing Controller

December 17, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Danfoss Drives (Rockford, IL) introduced the new Synchronizing Controller, designed for use with their VLT 5000 Series drives. The Synchronizing Controller is designed to provide speed and position synchronizing with marker correction. It requires no extra programming software, and all parameters required to start-up synchronizing applications are internal to the drive.

Danfoss Drives claims that the Synchronizing Controller is ideal for synchronizing applications such as printing lines, bottle washers and multiple conveyor belts. This controller features a display of actual synchronizing errors on LCP, read-out of leader/follower speeds on LCP, adjustable position offset and adjustable gear ratio via digital inputs. Additional features include four fixed-gear ratios; hold, speed-up and speed-down; homing; settings and status read-out via LCP; test-run, PID optimization and marker-distance measurement; and restoration of factory settings.
