Cyberex Introduces New Digital Static-Transfer Switch

December 11, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Cyberex Corp. (Highland Heights, OH) introduced its new 20A compact, rack-mount, digital static-transfer switch (RMDSTS), which increases overall electrical system reliability by adding redundancy at the point of use. It is suitable for telecom applications, ISPs, data centers and industrial computing environments. It features SuperSwitch technology, delivering transfer characteristics in mission-critical applications.

The RMDSTS provides instantaneous power transfers between two ac sources and is located right at the load it is protecting, safeguarding critical equipment from upstream failures. The 120V/208V two-pole system features an integrated maintenance bypass for servicing without loss of load.

Other features include internal fiber optics and solid-state switching for high reliability, 4ms transfers, and redundant gate drive and logic power supplies.
