Cree Microwave Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA) introduced its new CRF-22010 SiC MESFET power transistor, which is designed to cover the entire DCS/PCS/UMTS frequency band of 1.8GHz to 2.2GHz, and delivers 12dB gain (2.2GHz). When a balanced amplifier uses two of the 48V, 10W, Class A transistors, it can deliver 22W across a 400MHz bandwidth.
