Cooper Electronic Intros UNI-PAC Inductors

September 23, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Cooper Electronic Technologies (Boynton Beach, FL) announced its new Coiltronics brand of UNI-PAC inductors, which are well suited for a variety of automotive applications, including 12V/42V automotive distribution systems.

This family of surface-mount electronic power inductors has passed shock, temperature, vibration, solderability, flammability, dielectric voltage requirements, wash requirements and other required tests specified by automotive component suppliers and OEMs. These inductors deliver the benefits of low inductance and high current in a miniature footprint, and meet QS 9000 certification standards.

The UNI-PAC automotive inductors are designed to operate in ambient temperature ranges from -40 to +125 degrees C, (with storage temperature ranges from -55 to +150 degrees C), making them suitable for on-engine controls. They are often used with microprocessors in circuits that monitor air-intake systems, engine coolant systems, oil pressure systems and diagnostic safety checks on the engine.
