Condor DC Power Supplies Extends Line of PFC Power Supplies

May 28, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Condor DC Power Supplies (Oxnard, CA) has extended its line of PFC power supplies with four new single-output models. The new models are available in both medical and commercial versions, including two medical units offering 115W and 250W output power, and two commercial models with 110W and 250W output power.

The new units meet the requirements of IEC1000-3-2 for use in systems designed for worldwide markets. They broaden Condor's family of PFC power supplies, which now extends up to 1,200W in a single module or 6,000W in a power rack. There are significant advantages over earlier-generation and competing models, such as a up to 40 percent smaller footprint and up to 38 percent less overall volume. Cost has been reduced for the equivalent power output. Other additional features include power-fail warning, remote sense, auxiliary fan output and an optional cover with fan.
