Coilcraft (Cary, IL) announced its new 1008PS Series of surface-mount power inductors with a footprint of 3.7mm x 3.7mm. These inductors stand 2.6mm high and are suitable for applications requiring magnetic shielding, small size and low cost. Typical uses include notebook computers, PC cards, wireless communication and handheld devices.
The 1008PS Series features ferrite covers that provide magnetic shielding. There are 26 models available, with inductance values ranging from 1µH to 1,000µH and saturation current ratings up to 3A.
