IDACORP Inc. (Boise, ID) announced the appointment of Claude Duss as the president and CEO of its fuel cell subsidiary, IdaTech (Bend, OR). Duss succeeds Alan Guggenheim, one of the company's three founders. His experience includes 10 years at the vice president and general manager level with Honeywell International in the US and in Europe.
"Claude Duss brings to IdaTech considerable experience in strategic development, operations and distribution, in both domestic and international markets," said IDACORP President and CEO Jan Packwood. Claude's leadership will prove crucial as we pursue IdaTech's goal of bringing our fuel cell system to market in 2002. He has consistently demonstrated his ability to achieve growth in revenues and profts, provide leadership to new and successful business ventures, initiate and manage through acquisitions, and build employee development and productivity."
Duss holds an MBA from the University of Paris Dauphine, a BA in business administration from the University of Strasbourg, and a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Technology Mulhouse.
