IDACORP Inc. (Boise, ID) announced that risk-management expert Christopher Culp has been appointed to the IDACORP board of directors, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Peter Johnson earlier this year. Culp also will serve on the board's audit committee.

Culp, who will assume his new board duties immediately, is managing director of global risk management consulting business C.P. Risk Management LLC, adjunct associate professor of finance at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and visiting lecturer at Universitat Bern.

"We are extremely pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Culp to the IDACORP board of directors," said IDACORP Chairman of the Board Jon Miller. "His unrivaled knowledge and experience in the fields of risk management and corporate financing, and everything these entail, will be a rich resource that will add great strength to our board and corporation."
