Chiefcon Electronics Offers New HMP Series Capacitors

Chiefcon Electronics Co. Ltd. (China) announced the new HMP Series of capacitors targeted at motor applications. The capacitors are non-inductively wound devices with metallized polypropylene film dielectric, encapsulated in a UL 94V-0 flame-retardant plastic casing with an epoxy resin seal.
Capacitance ranges from 0.1µF to 15µF, with a capacitance tolerance of J, U and K. Rated voltages are 250Vac, 350Vac, 400Vac and 450Vac (50Hz/60Hz). Withstand voltage is rated at 150 percent, the rated voltage between terminals, and at 200 percent, the rated voltage plus 1kV between terminals and the case. The dissipation factor is 0.1 percent (maximum) at 200Vac, 60Hz, 20 degrees C.
