C&D Technologies Inc. (Tucson, AZ) has expanded its range of board-mounted, isolated dc-dc converters with a series of dual-output, 3 W devices in miniature SIP packaging, the new NDH Series, which offers high levels of integrated functionality to minimize external components and simplify circuit layout.

The NDH Series offers a wide 2:1 input voltage range; outputs regulated to 0.5%; nominal input-voltage options of 24 V and 48 V; respective input ranges of 18 V to 36 V and 36 V to 72 V; dual-output voltage options of 12 V and 15 V for each nominal input voltage; an isolation rating of 1 kVdc between the input and outputs; typical line and load regulation rated at 0.15% and 0.2%, respectively; continuous short-circuit protection; current foldback; fully encapsulated, UL 94V-0-compliant SIP packages; dimensions of 26.95 mm x 9.25 mm x 12.45 mm; a high power density of 1.05 W/cm³, and an operating temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C without the need for a heatsink or other additional cooling.

The NDH Series converters are priced under $13 in OEM quantities. As well as standard "off-the-shelf" parts, the company also offers custom solutions.
