Catalytica Announces Name of New Spin-Off Company

Catalytica Inc. (Mountain View, CA) announced a new name, Catalytica Energy Systems Inc., for its spin-off company. The new company was formed by the combination of two of Catalytica's subsidiaries, Catalytica Combustions Systems and Catalytica Advanced Technologies. Having a new name for the new company is intended to reflect a broadened focus on products and services for the industry. The spin-off company is expected to be launched later this year as a new public entity.
