Canadian Electric Intros 2 Battery-Conversion Kits

Canadian Electric Vehicles Ltd. (British Columbia, Canada) has developed a two sets of easy-to-install kits which convert either cars, including Geo Metros, Chevy Sprints, Pontiac Fireflies and Suzuki Swifts, or GM S-10 trucks to battery power. Once converted, vehicles cost just pennies per kilometer to recharge, have a range of up to 50 miles and enjoy top speeds of 75mph. Two versions of the car kit, one basic and one deluxe, are being offered. The main difference between the two being the power of the car and an increased range. Canadian Electric Vehicles has been converting vehicles to non-polluting battery power since 1990 and has seen a dramatic increase in public interest with the recent fuel-price increases.The battery-conversion kit for cars is currently priced at around $5,750 plus freight, while the GM S-10 conversion kit is priced at $6,150 plus freight.
