Burr-Brown Announces the DCR01 Family of DC/DC Converters

June 11, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Burr-Brown Corp. (Tucson, AZ) has announced the DCR01 family of 1W isolated, regulated dc/dc converters offering high efficiency, input isolation and output regulation in a miniature package. The DCR01 family is ideal for power-isolation applications found in a wide range of systems, from cellular base stations to industrial controllers.

In addition to 1W nominal, galvanically isolated output power capability, the DCR01 family features very low output noise, high power density (53W per cubic inch), up to 64 percent efficiency, 10-percent input range, short-circuit/thermal protection and device-to-device synchronization. The DCR01 family offers 5V, 12V and 24V input voltage ranges with output voltages of 3.3V and 5V.

Reliability figures of 125 FITs (55C) have been measured. The DCR01 family has been recognized by the UL 1950 safety standard used in IT, telecom and process-control equipment. The DCR01 family is priced from $5.60 in 1,000-piece quantities, and is packaged in a PDIP-18 (an SO-28 surface-mount package will be available in Q3 2000). Delivery is from stock.
