Beta Dyne Debuts New 15W Series of DC/DC Converters

Beta Dyne Inc. (Bridgewater, MA) debuted its new 15W Series of single-, dual-, dual-isolated and triple-output dc/dc converters with a standard 3:1 input-voltage range, 400kHz switching frequency, and forward topology all packaged in a

six-sided, completely shielded 1in x 2in x 0.395in metal package with industry-standard pinouts.

Standard outputs range from 1.8V to 15V with flexibility to modify. Synchronous rectification in the single models

improves the efficiency up to 88 percent, while all other models offer design

flexibility. Additional features include input-to-output 1,500Vdc isolation; soft-start, short-circuit protection; 150µA off-state current; multiple converter synchronization; and output OVP protection.

The converters are priced from $38.25 each in 250-piece units. Samples are available from 8 to 12 weeks ARO.
