Bel Fuse Inc. (Jersey City, NJ) announced the new S7DB Diamondback family of surface-mount dc/dc converters, which provide output voltages ranging from 1Vdc to 5Vdc and deliver full-load efficiencies as high as 93 percent. The series includes the S7DB-07A, S7DB-08B and S7DB-08C that deliver output currents of 7A from a 12V source, 8A from a 5V source, and 8A from a 3.3V source, respectively. The devices target distributed power architecture, data networking and telecom applications.
The new devices are offered in a 12-pin overmolded DIP that measures 31mm x 21mm x 8.8mm and are compatible with standard pick-and-place and reflow processes commonly used in high-volume production. Integrated features include output-voltage adjust, under-voltage lockout, output over-current and short-circuit protection, and remote sense and remote on/off. The S7DB-08B and S7DB-08C Series are rated for the industrial temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees C, while the S7DB-07A is rated for operation over an ambient temperature range of 0 to 70 degrees C.
