Behlman Introduces New INV Series DC/AC Inverters

April 23, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Behlman (Hauppauge, NY) has introduced the INV Series dc/ac inverters that delivers 1,200VA of clean, regulated ac power from a battery bank or dc source.

The INV1200 features a circuit that provides voltage foldback to maintain full-rated current into an overload without clipping ac output. Power output is a maximum of 1,200VA with 100 percent of the rated output available into any power-factor load while the unit provides a regulated sine-wave output voltage of 120VRMS with a frequency of 60Hz. Input protection is provided via a circuit breaker and includes short-circuit, overload and thermal protection. The INV1200 is available with a filtered ac main input with bypass capability in the event of loss of dc input.

The 25-pound unit is supplied with removable rack-mount angles and is ideal for local bench-top power or rack mounting. Prices start at $1,295 for the quasi-sine wave output model and up to $1,995 without, starting May 1, 2000, with a 30-day delivery of stock.
