AVX Expands Range for New W2A2xD Capacitor Arrays

AVX Corp. (Myrtle Beach, SC) has expanded the capacitance range for its W2A2xD 0508 two-capacitor arrays up to 1mF. These capacitor arrays are suitable for applications requiring multiple 1mF capacitors.

The array package enables reduced board space by placing two components in the same board space normally occupied by one standard 0805 capacitor; pick-and-place time is also reduced by 50 percent.

The capacitor arrays are offered in case sizes with NP0 and X7R dielectrics. Capacitance values range from 10pF to 470pF (NP0) and 470pF to 0.1mF (X7R), with extended range options ranging from 0.1mF to 1mF available in the X5R dielectric. Standard capacitance tolerances are ±10 percent (NP0) and ±20 percent (X7R). Voltage ratings are at 6.3V, 10V, 16V, 25V, 50V and 100V.

The W2A2xD capacitor arrays are offered in 1,000-, 2,000-, 4,000- and 10,000-piece tape and reels.
