AVX Debuts New Accu-L Series of RF thin-Film Inductors

AVX Corp. (Myrtle Beach, SC) introduced its new Accu-L Series of thin-film inductors, now available in a 0603 size. The 0603 Accu-L Series features very high Q, extremely tight tolerance (to ±0.1nH), high SRF and low dc resistance.

"The Accu-L 0603 is particularly suited for the communications industry where there is a continuing trend toward miniaturization and increasing frequencies," said Larry Eisenberger, AVX product manager. "The design of these devices provides a small size and excellent high-frequency performance with rugged construction for reliable assembly."

The Accu-L Series inductors are ideal for use in mobile communications systems, GPS applications, and filters and matching networks. They feature inductance values from 1.2nH to 15nH with tolerances to ±0.1nH. The operating temperature range is from -55 to +125 degrees C. The capacitors are available in tape-and-reel packaging of 3,000 and 10,000 per reel.

Typical pricing for the Accu-L Series inductors is approximately $0.12 each in quantity with lead times from stock to six weeks.
