AVX Corp. (Myrtle Beach, SC) announced a new series of ultra-thin chip capacitors intended to complement the company’s standard chip capacitors by providing a lower profile height to the end-user. AVX is now able to reduce the component profile height to 0.35mm.
The new capacitors are available in case sizes 0805 and 1206. They have voltage ratings of 50Vdc, 25Vdc, 16Vdc and 10Vdc, and provide the end-user with a wide range of capacitance-value options.
The ultra-thin chip capacitors are suitable for use in smart cards as well as in other applications where component height considerations are paramount.
