Avansys Promotes Bill Balfour to Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Avansys (San Jose, CA) announced the promotion of Bill Balfour to vice president of sales and marketing for Power Avansys, the US sales and marketing division of Avansys. Balfour has been entrusted with the responsibility for all sales, marketing and distribution operations in the North American market.

Prior to joining Avansys as the national sales manager, Balfour was a sales manager for VXI, now Celestica Power Systems (Canada). Before then, Bill worked for Lambda Electronics Inc. (Melville, NY). In addition to his power background, Balfour has spent many years in the semiconductor business as a sales manager and general manager for a semiconductor distributor. He has a BSIT from San Diego State University and an MBA from California Lutheran University.
