January 01, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Ault Inc. (Minneapolis, MN) announced its new PW150 universal 25W power supply. The desktop-style PW150 features 100Vac to 250Vac universal input in an IE320-C8 nongrounded configuration that includes an internal primary fuse current and inrush limiting. The PW150 is available in 12V, 15V, 16V and 24V output models.

The PW150 Series measures 3.66" x 2.44" x 1.15" and weighs about 3 ounces. It is CE-compliant and meets safety agency requirements, including TUV, UL 1950 and CUL. There is also MITI approval on the 12V model. Additionally, both the foldback over-current and short-circuit features ensure output protection. Transient output response is a 0.5msec for a 50-percent load charge. Holdup time is 18msec at 120Vac. All models have low output ripple. Modified and custom designs are available to meet specific OEM requirements.

“The 20W to 30W product range represents a large growth area, especially for telecommunications applications," explained Fred Green, Ault's president and CEO. "The lightweight, compact PW150 is ideally suited for wireless and modern products, two of our highest-growth market segments worldwide."
