Artesyn Technologies Launches the BXF200/250 Series of DC/DC Converters

September 04, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Artesyn Technologies Inc. (Boca Raton, FL) introduced the BXF200/250 Series of high-density, full-brick, dc/dc converters. The single-output BXF200/250 is built in the industry-standard, full-brick footprint, and is initially available with output voltages of 3.3V, 2.5V, 2V, 1.8V and 1.5V, with a 48V (36V to 75V) input. Users can draw up to 40A from the BXF200, and 50A from the BXF250.

The BXF200/250 Series is the second part of Artesyn's Full-Brick program, and is designed for distributed-power applications in the computing and communications markets. All BXF200/250 models offer a wide range of standard features, including short-circuit, over-voltage and over-temperature protection, which safeguard expensive circuitry and ensure reliable operation. The modules also include wide trim capability, remote sensing and remote on/off.

The BXF200/250 has a 1,500Vdc isolation rating and carries full international safety approval. Samples of the BXF200 and BXF250 are available from stock with 16-week lead times for production orders, and sell for $140.00 and $143.00 each, respectively, when purchased in quantities of 500.
