Advanced Power Technology Europe (Bordeaux, France), a division of Advanced Power Technology Inc. (APT, Bend, OR), announced its new product line of standard power modules in new packages, which will be available, including 600V and 1,200V PT IGBTs, for the ultimate in a high switching speed IGBT module, non-punch-through IGBTs for switch-mode power supplies and high-performance motor drive applications, and Power MOS 7 MOSFETs for high-frequency applications such as inductive heating and inverters for arc welding.
Among the new packages, the SP4 and SP6 offer an assembly alternative to discrete solutions, or equivalent conventional standard packages. With a 17mm height, the SP4 modules are compatible with standard industrial package heights, including input rectifier bridge modules. Available in a 17mm height and in a 12mm on request, the SP6 package allows improved design able to fit into existing assemblies that incorporate several Isotop devices in parallel, or any other common packages as input rectifier bridge modules.
