Advanced Power Conversion plc (Farnborough, England) announced its new APC100 Series of compact 100W dc/dc converters. The miniature open-frame modules are of industry-standard quarter-brick size
(36.8mm x 57.9mm x 12.7mm) and have an outstanding efficiency of up to 90 percent.
The APC100 Series offers great versatility with six precisely regulated outputs from 5Vdc down to 1.5Vdc, available as standard, and a range of power ratings from 15A to 20A. An MTBF of >2Mhrs and a standard operating temperature of -40 to +100 degrees C give the high reliability needed in the harsh operating conditions of modern power supply environments.
Low output noise, constant-frequency operation and isolated input allowing
versatile polarity configurations make the units particularly suitable for modern DSP, telecom and control circuitry.
UL, TUV and VDE approved, the modules include a full range of protection features and other useful functions such as remote sense and remote on/off for enhanced operating flexibility.
