Anderson Power Intros Powerpole 15/45 Connector
Anderson Power Products (APP, Sterling, MA), a leader in developing power interconnect solutions for backup power systems, electric vehicles, UPS systems, telecommunications, and high-technology device industries, introduced its Powerpole® 15/45 finger-proof connector. The connector is designed for use in applications where end-user access to the energized connector is not otherwise protected.
The Powerpole connector minimizes potential contact with live contacts by preventing finger access when the connector is unmated and energized. The connectors meet the accessibility protection requirements of IEC IP20 and UL1977 Section 10.2. The Powerpole’s flat-wiping contact system reduces contact resistance at high current, while the wiping action cleans contact surface during connection/disconnection. Contacts are available reeled and in loose-piece designs to support all product needs from engineering prototypes to low- and high-volume products.
The Powerpole 15/45 connectors are rated 15A, 30A and 45A for 600V of continuous ac or dc operation. Wire sizes range from #10 to #20 AWG (5.3mm² to 0.5mm²). The Powerpole 15/45 connectors are available though Anderson Power Products authorized distributor network or direct from their factory.
