ANADIGICS Debuts AWT6112/3/4 Power Amplifiers

August 18, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

ANADIGICS Inc. (Warren, NJ) announced the launch of its AWT6112, AWT6113 and AWT6114 CDMA power amplifier modules that occupy a footprint of 4mm x 4mm, smaller than the 6mm x 6mm footprint of conventional power amplifiers. Designed for use in wireless CDMA handsets and PDAs, the devices comply with the CDMA 1XRTT and CDMA 1xEV-DO standards, and cover the CDMA/AMPS applications, North American PCS applications and Korean PCS applications, respectively.

The InGaP HBT modules offer selectable bias modes to maximize efficiency for different output levels, and a shutdown mode with a low leakage current. The surface-mount packages incorporate matching networks to improve output power, efficiency and linearity.

The AWT6112, AWT6113 and AWT6114 are priced at $3.50 in quantities of 10,000 pieces.
