5W All-in-One AC-DC Power Supply in IEC Mains Filter Housing

Recom introduced a universal ac input power supply inside the case of a standard IEC mains filter. It offers safe and touchable dc outputs and is said to be easy to install. It features 85Vac to 264Vac input range.

The novel design of the RAC05-K/C14 fits a complete 5W power supply into a standard C14 mains filter housing. It does this without altering the case size and has a lower cost than many mains filters or power supplies alone.

The RAC05-K/C14 is suitable for powering single board computers such as the Raspberry Pi (including a touchscreen), Arduino, BBC Micro:bit, and others.

With a standard IEC "kettle connector" mounting hole, installation time is just a few seconds. The touchable output terminals are safe extra-low voltage (SELV) available in 3.3Vdc, 5Vdc, 12Vdc, 15Vdc, and 24Vdc output voltages and are protected against short circuits, overload and over-voltage.

The power supply offers typical efficiency of up to 84%. The metal case provides secure fixing and improves the thermal dissipation, allowing an operating temperature from -40°C to +60°C without derating.

In addition to being CE marked, it also meets numerous standards including UL/IEC/EN62368-1 certification, IEC/EN60950-1 certification, and it is FCC Part 15 compliant, ANSI C63.4 compliant, IEC/EN61204-3 compliant, EN55014-1 / +2 compliant, EN55024 compliant, EN55032 compliant, and a CB test report is available for each standard. For this reason, the device is suitable for use internationally.
