AEC-Q200 High-Current and Shielded Inductors

June 24, 2019 by Scott McMahan

Bourns has added Model SRP5050FA and Model SRP7030CA to its High-Current Shielded Power Inductor Series product line. The new inductors are designed to meet today's high current density requirements in various electronics applications.

Typical applications for the inductors include power supplies and dc-dc converters.

Manufactured with flat wire and a metal alloy powder core these inductors feature low dc resistance, have high heating/saturation current, low buzz noise, and offer excellent temperature stability. Shielded construction gives the inductors low magnetic radiation.

The Model SRP5050FA and Model SRP7030CA series are AEC-Q200 compliant. These inductors are well suited for dc-dc converters and power supplies in consumer, industrial, medical (low/medium risk) and telecom applications where higher inductor reliability may be required.

While the inductors can be used for low/medium risk medical applications, they are not intended for use in "lifesaving," "life-critical" or "life-sustaining" applications nor any other applications where failure or malfunction of the Bourns® product may result in personal injury or death.

The SRP5050FA series features inductance of 5.6μH to 8.2μH, and the SRP7030CA series has an inductance of 1μH to 8.2μH. Both can operate in temperatures from -55ºC to +155ºC.
