Advanced Power Technology Expands Power MOS 7 Line

April 26, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Advanced Power Technology (APT, Bend, OR) has expanded its recently introduced Power MOS 7 product line to include 200V and 1,000V MOSFETs. Compared to other high-performance MOSFETs offered by APT, the Power MOS 7 line offers up to 60 percent lower total gate charge and up to 30 percent less on-resistance for lower conduction losses.

As with all of APT's Power MOS 7 line, the new MOSFETs utilize metal-on-polysilicon gate structure. Features include low resistance and increased power dissipation. The devices are suitable for use in dc/dc converters, PFC pre-regulators, switch-mode power supplies, welders, UPSs, motor controls and inverters.

1,000-piece pricing for the 200V and 1,000V MOSFETs range from $8.83 to $39.17 each, depending on current rating and packaging. Samples are currently available, with production quantities planned for the third quarter of 2001.
