300W Fanless AC-DC Supply is DOE Level VI Compliant

January 17, 2016 by Jeff Shepard

TRUMPower announced the TMA300 series of medical & ITE grade ac-dc desktop power adapters. Offering 300W of output power, the TMA300 series complies with energy efficiency level VI standards. Class I or Class II versions are equipped with either IEC 320/C14 or IEC 320/C18 ac inlet on an 8.74" x 4.41" x 1.77" plastic case, which comes with power switch and LED power-on indicator.

The series offers six standard single output models of 12Vdc, 19Vdc 24Vdc, 28Vdc, 48Vdc, or 54Vdc with continuous output power of up to 300W. Modified output voltages can be accommodated upon request. The standard models come with a Molex Mini-Fit Jr. 10-pin connector. Its fanless design excludes the need for fan replacement and diminishes acoustic noise.

The TMA300 series is approved by UL, cUL and TUV to IEC/EN 60601-1 3rd Edition, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1:2005 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60601-1:08 medical standards and IEC/EN/UL 60950-1 2nd Edition ITE standards. EMC performance complies with EN60601-1-2 EN55011, EN55022, EN55024, FCC Parts 15 & 18 Class B.

The power supply accepts a 90- to 264-Vac universal input with 0.9 active power factor. The earth leakage current is 250µA maximum at 264Vac, 63Hz. Withstand voltage is specific at 5656Vdc from input-to-output and 2121Vdc from input-to-ground. The units can operate at 0 to +60 degrees C ambient temperature. MTBF is higher than 220,000 hours at full load, 25 degrees C ambient, calculated per Bellcore TR-332. Output protections include short-circuit, over voltage, and over load. The power supply displays efficiency higher than 88% and carries CE marking and is RoHS compliant as well.
