300mA LDO with 3.2V to 18V Input has 1.5µA Quiescent Current

July 05, 2019 by Scott McMahan

The AP7370 from Diodes Incorporated is an extremely low quiescent current, positive voltage regulator with a maximum input voltage of 18V.

In addition, the AP7370 has high accuracy and reverse-current protection which make it suitable for use in various USB and portable devices and instrument applications.

Typical applications for the LDO include battery-powered equipment, portable instrumentation, metering, laptops, notebooks, weighing scales, and appliances.

A low quiescent current of 1.5µA minimizes standby power in low-power systems and extends battery life.

The LDO maintains a 1.0% output accuracy at temperatures of -40ºC to +85ºC.

It includes a built-in current limit function and has short-circuit and over-current protection features.
