200W DC-DCs with 43Vdc to 160Vdc Input for Railway Applications

Cincon released a new 200W dc-dc converter, the CHB200W-110S Series. The dc-dc converter CHB200W-110S delivers 200W output power with single output voltages of 5Vdc, 12Vdc, 24Vdc, 28Vdc, 48Vdc in an industry-standard half-brick dimension. It has a 4:1 input voltage range of 43Vdc to 160Vdc (110Vdc nominal) and offers 3000Vdc basic isolation.

Cincon designed the CHB200W-110S series mainly for common railway applications of 72V, 96V, 110V nominal voltage and it is also suitable for distributed power architectures, telecommunications, battery-operated equipment, and industrial applications.

The dc-dc converter offers high efficiency up to 91% and has an operating case temperature range of -40°C to 100°C. An optional heat sink is available to extend the full power range of the unit.

Additionally, this device has a low no-load power consumption (10mA), making suitable for energy-critical systems.

Key Functions

It complies with EN50155, EN45545-2, EN50121-3-2. The standard control functions include negative logic remote on/off (remote on/off for positive logic is optional), and ±10% adjustable output voltage.

Full Protections

The device is fully protected against input under-voltage lock out (UVLO), output over-current, output over-voltage, and over-temperature, and continuous short circuit conditions.
