2001 Congressional Fuel Cell Exposition

The 2001 Congressional Fuel Cell Expo will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2001, in the Cannon Caucus Room of the Cannon House Office Building on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Energy Secretary Spence Abraham will provide welcoming remarks to the expo attendees and exhibitors, and the event’s Congressional host, Representative Nancy Johnson of Connecticut, also will address the expo.

The expo is intended to provide an opportunity for members of Congress, Congressional staff, federal agency officials and news media representatives to learn about fuel cells directly from the leaders in the industry. The expo will be open from 11am to 3pm, with Secretary Abraham and Representative Johnson speaking at 12.30. The event is free, open to the public and does not require preregistration.

The expo is being sponsored by the US Fuel Cell Council (Washington, DC). It is also supported by the US Department of Energy, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the National Hydrogen Association. Exhibitors include Ballard Power Systems, the California Air Resources Board, the California Fuel Cell partnership, DCH/Enable Fuel Cell, Delphi Automotive Systems, De Nora North America, DuPont Fuel Cells, FuelCell Energy, H Power, International Fuel Cells, Mechanical Technology Inc., Nuvera Fuel Cells, Plug Power, Texaco Energy Systems and ZeTek Power Corp., among others.
