1W, 2:1 Input Regulated SMD DC-DC Converter

July 24, 2019 by Scott McMahan

Mean Well released the 1W, 2:1 input regulated converter SMT01 series, shortly after the release of the low-cost, regulated SBTN/SFTN01 series.

SMT01 is primarily designed to isolate interferences and regulate voltages for power systems that are installed on-board the PCB. The dc-dc converter has a competitive cost and is available with  SMD surface-mount packaging or optional SMD tape reel packaging. It has a -40°C to +90°C working temperature and features 1.5kVdc I/O isolation voltage.

No extra components are required to meet EN55032 radiation Class A, which makes it suitable for use in information communication technology and networking equipment, IoT, industrial automation, telecom equipment, and distributed power architecture or related applications.

The device is EAC/CE safety certified. It measures 15.24mm x 10.9mm x 7.1mm, and Mean Well backs the converter with a 3-year warranty.

The models account for different input voltage ranges of 9V to 18V, 18V to 36V, and 36V to 72V that have 2:1 wide input ratio. They have single output voltages of 5V/12V/15V, which are suitable for all kinds of systems including telecommunications, industrial control, and distributed power architecture as well as datacom systems/wireless networks and facility instrument analyzer detectors.
