1kV Ultra Junction X-Class HiPerFET™ MOSFETs from Littelfuse
Littelfuse, Inc. presented a new 1000V ultra junction product at PCIM Europe 2019, in Nuremberg, Germany, last week. The Littelfuse stand was located in hall 9, booth 303, where visitors were also able to see and demo the Littelfuse broad product portfolio.
The new product line is particularly well-suited for high-efficiency, high-power density applications. These include resonant-mode power supplies, battery chargers, and welding inverters. Each MOSFET can replace several parallel-connected higher on-resistance devices for simpler design, higher reliability and lower cost.
In addition to the 1000V Ultra Junction MOSFETs, Littelfuse introducedg several new products. These include 150V Ultra Junction MOSFETs, surge protection modules, high power modules, and bladed high-speed fuses.
The new 100V ultra junction device is part of the family of Polar™ HiPerFETs (IXF..) that combine the strengths of the Polar Standard product family with a faster body diode, whose reverse recovery time (trr) is reduced to make them suitable for phase-shift bridges motor control and uninterruptible power supply applications (UPS). This family of HiPerFETs provides lowest RDS(on), low RthJC, low Qg, and enhanced DV/DT capability.
