1500W Conduction-Cooled Power Supply with Digital Interface
Mean Well has expanded its conduction-cooled power supply offering to higher power coverage by releasing the 1500W UHP-1500. The unique fanless design can solve customers' headaches regarding fan failures caused by absorbing dusts, and it can reduce the frequency and cost of device maintenance. Fanless design can also solve fan noise level issues, thus making the UHP-1500 suitable for environments that requires absolute quietness.
UHP-1500 is the first conduction-cooled series equipped with a digital communication interface. Built-in PMBus or CANBus is an available option. The communication protocols allow the power supply to be seamlessly integrated into high-end systems such as data center, network equipment, and charging system.
The power supply is also equipped with programmable voltage and current (PV/PC) functions, which allows the trimming of output voltage between 50% to 120% and current between 20% to 100% by an external dc control signal. The multitude of control protocol and functions allow the UHP-1500 to be suitable for powering all types of loads, including but not limited to burn-in equipment, charging systems, and laser apparatus.
Other key features of the UHP-1500 include: compliance to the EN60335-1 household safety standard, which is uncommon for such high-wattage standard power supply; wide operating temperature range of –30°C to +70°C; low-profile design with only 41mm height.
