15-Watt 1x1” DC-DCs Ruggedized for Railway, Transportation & Industrial
TRACO POWER has announced the release of their THN 15WIR family of ruggedized dc-dc converters designed for harsh environments in a miniature 1 x 1 x 0.40” footprint and available as single- and dual-output models.
The converters offer increased resistance against electromagnetic interference, shock/vibration and thermal shock with EN 50155 and EN 61373 compliance making them suited for railway, transportation and harsh industrial environments.
The 15-Watt THN 15WIR family consists of 27 models offering ultra-wide 4-to-1 Input ranges of 9- to 36-Vdc, 18- to 72-Vdc and 36- to 160-Vdc. Standard output voltages include 3.3-, 5-, 12-, 15-, 24-, ±5-, ±12-, and ±15-Vdc. The ultra-wide input range satisfies a ±40% deviation of nominal required of today’s railway and transportation systems.
These models feature I/O isolation of 3000 Vdc, efficiency of 88% to 91% (model dependent), a full load operating temperature range of -40°C to 75°C (up to 90°C with 50% load derating), input under-voltage-lockout, short circuit protection, remote On/Off and output voltage trim.
All models are qualified to railway EN50155, EN61373, EN 45545-2 standards and safety approved to IEC/EN 60950-1, UL60950-1 with a built-in EMI filter to meet EN55022 class A emissions.\
