DOE VI Efficiency Compliant 10W USB Interchangeable Plug Adapter

June 07, 2019 by Scott McMahan

Phihong announced the launch of its new 10W USB Interchangeable Plug Adapter Series. The USB Interchangeable Plug Adapter Series is compliant to the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE VI) efficiency regulations for external power supplies, as well as the EU voluntary Code of Conduct Version 5 Tier 2 requirements.

Phihong's PSAF10R-050QA-R Series adapters are suitable for use in many applications, including consumer electronics, peripherals, portable equipment, and networking.

The new PSAF10R-050QA-R adapter features a USB receptacle, field-changeable ac plugs, low leakage current, and voltage drop compensation.

With an input range of 100Vac to 240Vac, the compact PSAF10R-050QA-R Series adapters help offset voltage drop that may occur with longer USB cables or thin-wire USB cables.

The new power adapter series gives travelers the convenience of interchangeable plugs, which also means that OEMs need only stock a single power adapter to cover all global electric systems, thereby minimizing the inventory cost costs related to selling separate power adapters with fixed plugs for specific regions.

The Series of adapters carry CE, cULus, PSE, RCM, KCC/KC and EAC safety certifications for the USA, Canada, Australia, Europe, Korea, Japan, and the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan).
