Polytron Devices has launched its new LPA30 series of compact, high wattage 30-Watt dc-dc converters for a wide range of applications including wireless networks, tele and data communications, industry control systems, distributed power architectures and semiconductor equipment. The LPA30 power supplies deliver 92 percent power supply efficiency in an extra low profile package of 1.0" x 1.0" x 0.39". These dc-dc converters are offered in single- and dual-output models. Single output voltages include 3.3-, 5-, 15- and 24-Vdc while dual-output voltages include ±12-., ±15- and ±24-Vdc.
These power supplies have a 2:1 input voltage range, a six-sided continuous shield and no minimum load requirement. Standard input voltages include: 12-Vdc nominal (9- to 18-Vdc range), 24-Vdc nominal (18- to 36-Vdc range), and 48-Vdc nominal (36- to 75-Vdc range). This series is also RoHS and Reach compliant and meets all UL60950-1, EN60950-1 and IEC60950-1 safety standards.
LPA30 series dc-dc converters include continuous short-circuit protection, overvoltage protection, hiccup-mode overload protection and thermal protection. They are designed for use with or without an external heatsink. Polytron Devices’ LPA30 series is now available at a price of US$42.00 in quantities of 1000 units.
