Xiamen Faratronic Unveils CBB81B PPF Capacitors

Xiamen Faratronic Co. Ltd. (China) unveiled its new CBB81B PPF capacitors, which are available with voltage ratings of 1.6kV and 2kV, and are designed specifically for use in horizontal resonance circuits of large-screen monitors and color TV receivers. Available in packages measuring 20mm x 14mm x 9mm to 34mm x 24mm x 16mm, the capacitors have a UL 94V-0 flame-retardant, epoxy resin and radial leads, as well as capacitance values ranging from 1nF to 27nF with ±3 percent, ±5 percent or ±10 percent.

The devices have an insulation resistance of at least 50 gigaohms and are able to withstand up to 1.75 times their rated voltage. Dissipation factor is <0.001 at 1kHz or <0.002 at 10kHz. The capacitors are screened for operation over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
