Xantrex Technology Inc. (Arlington, WA) announced the appointment of Bernd Kohlstruck as vice president and general manager for its distributed power market unit, which is responsible for renewable, backup and distributed power applications for residential, commercial, industrial and utility markets.
Kohlstruck joins Xantrex from Alstom/Ballard in Europe where he was responsible for the company's power quality solutions business unit. Prior to Alstom/Ballard, he spent 10 years as managing director for both power supply systems and decentralized power supply at AEG.
"Bernd Kohlstruck has extensive sales and marketing experience in our industry and he has a strong power electronics background. He will make a valuable contribution to our plans in the renewable, backup and distributed power markets - markets that represent significant opportunities for Xantrex," stated Mossadiq Umedaly, chairman and CEO.
