Welwyn Components Ltd. (UK) introduced its PWC Series resistors, which offer 50% more power than a standard chip.
The PWC Series is available in four sizes; 0805, 1206, 2010 and 2512. The respective power ratings at 70°C are 0.125W, 0.33W, 0.75W and 1.5W.
The larger sizes also offer double the working voltage of conventional chip resistors, with the limiting element voltage being 400V for PWC2010, and 500V for PWC2512. Full data on the enhanced pulse and overload performance is also available.
Typical pricing for the PWC Series is $0.12 each, with lead times from four to six weeks.
